LCFC Hosts First Spring Concert for Families

Friday, May 15, 2009 Children at Lemay Child and Family Center sang, clapped and danced for their parents and families May 12 and 13 for their first Spring Concert. Every seat in the audience was filled. One by one, each classroom eagerly performed the songs they had been rehearsing for weeks, such as "Wheels on the Bus, " "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "It's a Small World." The older kids from the Center performed on Tuesday, and the younger toddlers and children performed on Wednesday. Aksana Lolic, preschool teacher, played the piano while each classroom sang. Laura DeWoskin, Curriculum Coordinator, conducted the concert. "Turnout was overwhelming" DeWoskin said. "We had to pull extra chairs out of the offices just for people to be able to sit, and the kids were very excited prepping for the event. It was very exciting."
